Business & Estate Planning in Boise & Meridian, Idaho

Protecting your legacy through all of

life's events and unexpected challenges.

Our Process

Our process: We require an initial planning session in which we get to know your situation and also, determine whether we are a good fit or not. At the completion of the planning session should we mutually decide to go forward you would receive a fixed price quote of what we would deliver and how much it would cost.

Our plans:

We offer two planning paths. The first one is our Comprehensive Estate Plan, and the other is our Enhanced Plan. Unless or until we mutually agree in a written document signed by both attorney and potential client after the preliminary consultation, neither the potential client nor the attorney are committed. There are no fees for our initial consultation which will result either in a mutual agreement or not, and if written must be signed by both parties. Once an agreement is reached for a fixed price, we do not charge for initial meeting or once engaged for phone calls or emails unless they are excessive or abused.

Our Comprehensive Estate Planning is available for individuals or couples and start at $1495 and include pourover wills, healthcare and financial powers of attorney, joint revocable trust or Medicaid trust.

This plan is best for: An individual or couple whose only significant assets are their homes and car(s). If your estate planning requirements are more extensive or more complex there may be additional charges for special needs, spendthrift trusts, asset protection or pet trusts there may be additional charges. Sometimes the enhanced planning may be more appropriate. Payment plans are available for those with limited funds.

For those with extremely limited assets and income we also offer through our nonprofit initiative and commitment that everyone should have an estate plan, the same basic plans available for those who qualify. * The free basic plan costs $99 for qualified individual and is used to cover printing, copying costs as well as intake information gathering. To qualify you must be on public assistance and have no other significant assets that would prevent you from qualifying for foods stamps or have an inheritance, own any real estate or other significant assets (car ownership is permitted).

Enhanced Planning is most appropriate for those with more complicated family dynamics and typically assets over $500,000. An estate plan should not be done without consideration of other holdings such as retirement plans, business or professional practice ownership, real estate holdings, etc. In these instances, we work with any other professional advisors such as financial planners and cpas (as well as your business attorney should you have one).

It is also often more appropriate for blended families when each partner has separate as well as shared assets and possibly different beneficiaries for each partner and possibly when there are pre- or post- nuptials.
